Resolve an alert

See what needs attention, take responsibility, and check that the underlying issue is fixed.

Read the issue before acting

Alerts can point to workspace or connection problems that need a person’s attention. The actions available depend on your access. Marking an alert as fixed records your decision; it is not a substitute for checking the affected work.

Work through the alert

  1. Open Alerts and select Needs attention.
  2. Read the alert and identify the affected area or connection.
  3. Select I’m checking this when you are taking responsibility, if the action is available.
  4. Follow the alert’s action to the affected work. Resolve the cause, and use Try again only when offered and appropriate.
  5. Return to the affected record or service to verify the result.
  6. Select Mark as fixed after verification. Use Resolved or All to review the alert afterward.

If the alert returns

Refresh the list and check whether the underlying issue is still present. An expired connection may need an authorized person to approve access again. A failed operation may require checking for a partial result before retrying.

When reporting a persistent issue, include the affected area, approximate time, and the action that failed. Do not include passwords, private links, or customer data that support does not need.
